Many things amiss with my garage door and opener. Old system! Tony Sweet was a great fixer. He worked out 4 proposals for me all the way from a minimum to get my main door to open and shut all the way up to a complete replacement of both garage doors with entirely new systems! I appreciate that thoroughness. Due to my budgetary constraints right now I went with the 2nd system he mapped out and will, I'm sure, go for the complete replacement when possible sometime in the future. Ian assessed my garage door repairs providing me with 3 estimates. Two pulleys were dislodged with bent brackets preventing the door from working properly. I chose to do minimum repairs just to get the door working again. He provided suggestions that helped to make the door work more smoothly and safely, like providing a safety cable. He also sealed the perimeter with weatherstripping, which will make a big difference in not allowing warm air to escape from the garage. I am very satisfied with the service Ian provided and am grateful he came on a snowy day! Thank you!

I called Precision Garage Door Service as I bumped my garage door when I tried to leave the garage this morning. The person answering my call was very professional and said someone would be out between 10-4 today. Not long after I received a call from Ian who said he would be here between 10am and Noon. Already I considered that call very helpful and professional. And he called when he was leaving to come here with the timing of his arrival. Seth was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable during the whole experience. They had great communication practices during the entire experience, and were able to reschedule our appointment quickly after we had a family emergency. He gave us a fair price for the amount of work he put in and went out of his way to try and find a solution to our second door problem and conveyed a clear game plan as to what would happen next. Had some issues with price quoting over the phone versus in person, but on the plus side they held to the phone rep's price; however, getting to this required me to call after waiting a week for their promised callback. Be aware that they have a system that provides multiple quotes onsite featuring additional work upsells, which feels like a disgusting high pressure tactic when called for a simple fix. The work got done and lasted two weeks before issues cropped up and I noticed some install errors, including splitting a stud by screwing too close to the edge and not pre-drilling. We were also left with scraps (track, screws) in our garage to dispose of. We had a very nice and friendly technician, but we won't be using them again or recommending to others.
